Caramel dumplings

Caramel dumplings



Melt ½ c. brown sugar in a skillet
add 2 c. warm water
pinch of salt
Then add 1 . of white sugar
1 Tbs. Butter
1 tsp. Vanilla
When boiling add dumplings

Dumplings

½ c. sugar
1 Tbs butter
1 Tb. Rounded baking powder
1 c. milk
Salt and flour to stiffen (like stiff cake batter)
Add to boiling syrup
cook ten min. or more covered
Do not boil let simmer
Makes 10 dumplings
